A grassroots effort led by six visionary and compassionate women in 1992 has blossomed into a grantmaking fund that has raised over $4 million used to enrich 350 local programs serving women and children in the greater Spokane area. The collaboration between corporate sponsors, Pioneer Circle members, table captains, generous donors and community volunteers is a reason to celebrate. Can you help me find housing, get a scholarship to attend school, get away from a domestic violence situation, pay my heating bill, etc.?

Women Helping Women Fund does not provide assistance to individuals. The funds we raise are granted to non-profit organizations whose programs benefit women and children. If you need individual assistance, First Call For Help, at 838-4428, to access a list of resources in Spokane.

WHWF has a scholarship program known at the Vivian Winston Scholarship, in honor of one of our founding members. Scholarships are awarded to young mothers attending either Community Colleges of Spokane or Eastern Washington University.
