WHWF Annual Luncheon: A Record Breaking Event!
Over 2,300 people attended the annual WHWF benefit luncheon to support our commitment to the community and listen to keynote speaker Jeannette Walls (pictured above). We raised $300,146 at the event, with thousands more in donations received since the May 5 event. This was the most money raised in the benefit luncheon's 16 year history. 100% of the funds will go to programs in Spokane County benefiting women and children as well as the WHWF Endowment, which reached $1 million this year. We also announced the names of the 2008-09 WHWF Vivian Winston Scholarship winners; three highly qualified and deserving young mothers attending local colleges. Click here for more information.
Thank you Spokane and all of the wonderful visitors from other communities! Your generous spirit makes a difference in the lives of Spokane's women and children in need. We love the way you care!!!
