Women Helping Women Fund promotes women’s philanthropy and raises money to support nonprofits that serve women and/or children. We proudly partner with grantees in Spokane County to provide responsive, community-based programming to build stronger home for all.

Women Helping Women Fund's grant cycle opens on August 3! We invite eligible nonprofits serving women and/or children in Spokane County to apply.

Join us for a virtual Grant Information Session on August 3 from 12:00–12:30 PM, where we'll walk through the application process and answer your questions.

To receive funds, your agency must:

Have 501(c) (3) tax-exempt status as defined by the Internal Revenue Service or be fiscally sponsored.
Spend no more than 5% of your budget on legislative involvement.
Serve women and/or children in Spokane County

Please note: WHWF does not fund individuals, political action organizations, capital projects, or endowment funds.

WHWF grants funds to organizations that support women and/or children.
WHWF encourages that each agency only submits one application each year.
WHWF awards responsive grants for one year. Grant funds are available to spend between July 1 and June 30. No funds should be expensed prior to July 1 or after June 30. After the termination of the grant year, unexpended funds must be returned to the WHWF office by September 1.
WHWF examines the financial stability of agencies.

If your LOI meets criteria in the initial review, you will receive an invitation email to submit the Full Application. A meeting with a Grant Review Team in November is required as part of the Full Application process. The WHWF Office will reach out to coordinate a meeting time with you if you organization is invited to complete the Full Application. This meeting is not an indication of funding.

WHWF will communicate a decision about your application when the review and due diligence process is complete. Grant decisions are subject to Board-adopted guidelines and approval.
