Vivian Winston Scholarship

Raising a child shouldn’t keep young mothers from achieving their academic goals. The Vivian Winston Scholarship awards funds, historically ranging from $1,500-$4,000, to assist mothers attending local institutions of higher education with tuition and child care.

Meet the 2020-21 Scholars

Taylor

Taylor is studying Communication Science and Disorders at Eastern Washington University. This is her chosen field of study because she wants to be an advocate, not the voice, for those who do not have means to be able to make their voice heard. She wants to give everyone the ability to communicate.

Nicole

Nicole is pursuing her degree in Public Service Administration at Whitworth University. After overcoming many hardships in her own life, she is hoping to give back by using her degree to be a light that helps guide people to their true purpose. Her goal is to become a leader for a non-profit organization.

Brynna

Brynna is a full-time student at Washington State University in Pullman, WA. She is studying to receive her bachelor’s degree in Interior Design, which has been a lifelong passion. She also works part-time as an intern at an architecture & interior design firm in Spokane. She expects to graduate next year.

In 2006, with funds contributed by Winston & Cashatt Lawyers, Women Helping Women Fund established an educational scholarship to honor one of our founders, Vivian Winston. Vivian worked through her life to remove barriers for women and children.
