Women Helping Women Fund (WHWF) is thrilled to announce this year’s grant recipients, made possible by the unwavering generosity of the community. Every dollar awarded through WHWF grants is directly funded by individuals who believe in empowering women and children locally.
“Thanks to the incredible support of hundreds and hundreds of donors, we’ve increased our grant funding each year,” said Heather Hamlin, Executive Director. “Their generosity enables us to create a tangible, lasting impact on local organizations that address critical needs.”
Women Helping Women Fund is proud to partner with organizations that provide essential services such as education, healthcare access, housing support, and economic empowerment. Each grant we award represents the collective commitment of our community to create a brighter future for women and children.
This year, WHWF will award over $300,000 to support the following nonprofit organizations:

“It’s inspiring to see what can be accomplished when a community comes together to invest in its people,” added Nicole Stewart, Board President. “We’re excited to see how this year’s funding will empower organizations to continue their transformative work.”
While WHWF has achieved record-breaking fundraising numbers each year, the need remains high. This year, the organization received over $1 million in grant requests. “The need is immense in our community. As we look to the future, we aim to grow our donor base to ensure more women and children have the opportunity to thrive” said Hamlin.
WHWF has evolved its model to help donors connect more deeply with the community. Through volunteer opportunities, social events, and educational programs, donors can actively participate in WHWF’s mission at a level that fits their schedule. These initiatives provide meaningful ways for donors to see the impact of their contributions and build connections with like-minded individuals.
As part of their ongoing fundraising efforts, WHWF is excited to host the Give Like a Woman event on May 21 at the Spokane Convention Center. The event will feature renowned speaker Mariana Atencio, an award-winning journalist and author, sharing her powerful message of resilience and empowerment.
